AIDA is one of the most recognised names in competitive Latin and ballroom footwear, worn by DanceSport competitors around the world. If you’re considering your first pair, here’s what AIDA is known for, who it suits and how it fits — from a Canadian AIDA stockist that fits the range in person every week.

Who AIDA is for
AIDA suits intermediate to advanced dancers who want a slim, elegant, competition-grade shoe with precise heel placement for Latin technique. Beginners can absolutely dance in AIDA too — just start with a lower, more stable heel while your technique builds (see our heel-height guide).

How AIDA fits
AIDA runs close to the foot on its own slim last and is usually sized in EU. It fits snug, like most quality dance shoes, so treat it as a fresh fitting rather than converting from another brand. Check our fit & sizing guide and size chart before ordering.

The AIDA range
AIDA is best known for open-toe Latin heels in a range of heights and heel shapes, plus closed-toe Standard styles. Browse what we carry in AIDA Latin dance shoes.

AIDA vs BD Dance
AIDA sits at the premium, competition end — a refined, slim last built for advanced technique. BD Dance offers professional construction at a more accessible price and a slightly more forgiving fit, which makes it a popular first brand. Many dancers own both.
Buying AIDA in Canada
Wedance stocks AIDA and fits it in person at our Ottawa and Montréal showrooms. If AIDA’s slim last is too narrow for you, see our wide-fit dance shoes. Unsure of your AIDA size? Book a fitting and we’ll get it right.
