Named for the dancer who made the tailcoat look effortless, the Astaire is Freed of London's classic men's ballroom shoe in black leather. It is the traditional choice for standard and smooth — a clean, low-profile Oxford that reads as formal shoe from across the floor and behaves as a dance shoe underfoot.
The low ballroom heel keeps your weight forward and your balance settled for hold, rise and fall, and the leather upper breaks in to the shape of the foot rather than staying rigid. A suede sole gives the pivot and glide a sprung floor asks for.
