The Gibson from International Dance Shoes is a modern update on a classic men's ballroom shoe, built with comfort and support at its core. It is especially popular for social dancing, where easy movement and all-day wearability matter most. Rather than the snug hold of a tight competition fit, the Gibson gives you a relaxed, comfortable feel so you can stay on the floor longer without fatigue.
What sets it apart is choice of fit: it comes in two comfort-focused fittings, the Regular F-Fit and the roomier Comfort G-Fit. Both offer extra space through the toe box and a broader insole base, making the Gibson a genuine option for wider feet and dancers who have struggled to find a men's ballroom shoe that simply feels good.
Choose it in classic Black Calf or polished Black Patent. This is a made-to-order IDS style, so please allow roughly six to eight weeks. We fit dancers in person at our Ottawa and Montréal showrooms — the right fitting matters here, so read our size & fit guide and book a fitting before ordering.
